Location: KIRKUK
Hours of Employment: Sunday-Thursday 8:00 to 4:30.
GLOBAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Under the line management of the Project Manager, the Project Officer is responsible for assisting the
Project Manager in running HI activities in the governorate of Kirkuk. The projects involves victim
assistance activities through physical rehabilitation and psychosocial support.
Note: the PO position requires some movement between Kirkuk and Erbil.

RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION
1. Organize, coordinate and supervise the HI team under your management
Create the weekly planning of HI teams and manage their daily activities and movements in the field.
Ensure all teams are carrying out their activities to a high standard.
Guarantee fulfillment of attendance sheets and appraisal forms of managed staff according to HR
procedures.
Identify any training needs of the field teams and relay these needs to the PM.
2. Ensure the system of identification of people in need of Physical Rehabilitation and PSS
support
Ensure effectiveness of the identification system of vulnerable families in needs of rehabilitation or
psychosocial support;
Ensure respect of internal processes in the identification and assessment of potential beneficiaries;
Ensure adapted training of the outreach team to strengthen their capacity and quality of assessment to
identify the needs;
Organize a relevant geographical system of assessment to ensure regular visits and monitoring of
movements;
3. Organize, coordinate and supervise HI partners activities (physical rehabilitation, psychosocial
support)
Ensure regular field visit with partners staff
Ensure the communication with the main interlocutors of HI partners
Ensure that the activities are done according to the Partnership Agreement signed (direct activities,
reporting, etc.)
4. Ensure the monitoring and Reporting activity according to the system in place
Ensure all field teams are making appropriate records of their activities and link this information
with the data/monitoring in a timely manner.
Support the field teams to correctly complete all the required reporting (statistics, field activity
reports, etc.)
Provide a qualitative and quantitative report on a weekly and monthly basis
Guarantee consistency of project archive including assessment forms, distribution lists and donation
certificates
5. Liaise with local stakeholders, authorities upon request of the project manager
At field level, meet on regular basis the different stakeholders (local associations, authorities, etc.)
Attend relevant working groups;
Create and maintain a network in the area of operation;
6. Demonstrate willingness to improve professional competences and abilities to increase care

training sessions and capacity building activities

REQUIRED PROFILE
Education
• University degree in social work, physiotherapy, psychology or a related field.
Languages
• Excellent Arabic, Kurdish and English mandatory (oral and written).
Experience
• Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience.
• Previous experience with international or local NGOs.
• Previous experience in partnership
• Previous experience in social work
Skills
• Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent organizational skills.

TIME SCHEDULE
The working hours are the following:
Sunday until Thursday, from 8.00 AM to 4.30 PM with 30 minutes lunch break.
It can be exceptionally requested to work on Friday or Saturday. In that case a day off is planned
between Sunday and Thursday during the previous or following week.
Note that working time can go up to 48 hours per week if it is required by the volume of activities and
by the line manager. In that case the overtime will be considered as recovery time to be planned by
the line manager in the next days.
