Radio Network Planning and Optimization & Drive Tester Engineer

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Support LTE Optimization efforts for LTE TDD project
• RF optimization and system performance engineering for a LTE network
• Interface with all levels of management and collaborate with other groups
• Perform design and performance activities of project
• Perform Network Planning
• Perform Initial Tuning
• Perform Network and/or Node Reviews/Audits
• Analyze performance of networks elements and see if changes (software or hardware changes)
• Implement recommendations for network optimization improvement,
• Undertake networks performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding service

Technical skills

As a LTE Optimization Engineer, candidates’ skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Good expertise in Radio Network Design & Tuning Tools
• Good knowledge of Radio Network Dimensioning/Coverage Design
• Radio Functionality and cell parameters
• Network Traffic Modeling
• Network Performance (KPI) based on Field Measurement and on Systems Measurements
• Mapping Tools and Data Formats (Mapinfo, GoogleEarth)
• Radio Network Design Processes & Methods
• Radio Network Traffic/Capacity
• Multi-Layer (carrier)management
• Optimization and Post processing tools
• Service Quality for Radio Networks
• Wireless End-to-end Performance
• LTE Handover and Cell Reselection
• Analysis of drive test data and recommendations
• Tools experience (TEMS investigation/ Actix Business Object, Genex Tools (Prob, Assistant)
• Good knowledge of Huawei LTE products and service portfolio
• LTE 3GPP standards, LTE RAN Air Interface and L3 signaling analysis

Job Qualification/ Experience

• Five years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry
• At least 2 years in LTE optimization
• Experience on Huawei products is preferred
