Job description
- Work with the program and logistics departments as well as the field site teams to plan out the procurement needs of the mission on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Process and respond to PRs in a timely manner
- Ensure all IMC policies and procedures are followed for the procurement process
- Facilitate the RFQ and vendor contract process
- Ensure that the procurement threshold guidelines for the IMC are followed
- Maintain the PR Tracking Sheet and ensure that it is distributed to the necessary personnel weekly
- Ensure that vendor files are maintained per the IMC standardized filing system and audited on a quarterly basis
- Ensure that all procurement documentation is filed per the IMC standardized filing system
- Ensure that procurements with a value equal to or exceeding $1000 have a Bridger completed and reviewed by the Logistics Coordinator
- Ensure that all payment invoices are reviewed and signed by the Logistics Coordinator, submitted to the finance department, recorded in the register book, and that finance signs a confirmation of receipt
- Complete weekly and monthly reporting and submit to the Logistics Manager by the stated deadline
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- University degree in a relevant field or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management
- 2 years of experience working in procurement required, 2 year with a NGO preferred
- Knowledge or experience working with donor requirements preferred
- Management experience including capacity building preferred
- A proactive person with initiative and drive, honesty with a high level of integrity; a team- player with good planning, time management and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under adverse conditions which may change quickly requiring flexibility
- Ability to work in a cross cultural environment.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Fluency in spoken and written Kurdish, Arabic and English is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
