NOC Engineer / Shift Team Leader

Job Title: FO Engineer Shift team leader
Job Summary
Help manage the real-time operational activities of NOC and OSS environments to ensure smooth operations of the live end to end network comprising of LTE and all the associated RAN, Transmission, Infrastructure, Packet Core, Switching Core and DCS and any future networks and technologies implemented by the company.
Assist in implementing the following processes:
- Network Surveillance Management
- Fault Management
- Service Desk
- Problem Management
- Incident Management
- Acceptance
- Network Performance Management
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise all shift personnel fostering the teamwork culture
- Ensure Technical Faults escalated to the Network Operations Group are resolved within defined SLA
- Control flow of changes
- Provide 24X7 NOC coverage
- Ensure a smooth, accurate handover is carried out to the next shift
- Provide necessary analysis on network\servers\systems performance to relevant groups within the company
- Fulfill NOC Management reporting obligations
- Assist in the coordination of NOC work schedules and assignments
- Maintain a service-oriented environment focused on prediction, detection and resolution of issues
- Helping in organizing NOC & OSS to deliver agreed KPIs with internal and external departments in the most efficient manner
- Provide feedback to Planning & Design on network performance and customer experience statistics to aid in optimization of the network
- Helping in the end to end management of all Network related faults
- Carry out additional duties in support of the business plan objectives as requested by NOC Manager

Education:
Degree level in Electrical/Communication Engineering or Computing discipline
Knowledge & Experience
Essential skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in telecommunications with at least 1 year at Team Lead/Supervisor level.
- Experience in LTE & Wimax wireless telecommunications networks and technologies
- Experience in Network Management System (NMS) like M2000, U2000
- Experience in technical analysis
- Understanding of Wireless, Switching Core, IP Core, IN & DCS and OSS technologies
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills)
- Must have a good command in English
Preferred:
- Formal training in LTE and WiMax technologies
- Formal training in Project Management
- Good understanding of OSS
