NFI/Cash Distribution Team Leader

Job description

As part of its Mosul response ACTED has received funding for a multi-sectorial project providing Cash and NFIs (Non-Food Items) and Child Protection and Education in Emergency to support conflict affected populations in and around Mosul. As such, ACTED is looking for a Cash/NFI Distribution Team Leader who will work under the supervision of the Program Manager.

S/he will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Supervise and manage distribution officers, assistants and daily labour;
  • Ensure that planned activities are successfully implemented according to quality standards;
  • Support in data analysis as needed and guide staff in database management;
  • Manage the planning and set up of a distribution and supervise activities according to SOPs defined by ACTED;
  • Directly engage with service providers;
  • Mobilise local communities before and during the distribution and in the provision of technical guidance to beneficiaries to support with the correct use of the supplies provided;
  • Create and maintain relations with local authorities and external actors to grant access to beneficiaries and coordinate on the use of public sites for the setup of distributions;
  • Provide accurate information to the program manager and ensure these are recorded accurately.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • English – fluent
  • Kurdish – fluent (optional)
  • Arabic – fluent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in multi-cultural environment;
  • Committed, honest and eager to learn;
  • Willing to travel and work in areas recently retaken from ISIS;
