Objective:
To ensure the work of the Health department is managed efficiently and effectively in line
with an established guidelines. You will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible, committed, and
a resourceful colleague who can support the Manager to lead the team. The successful
candidate will need to deliver to a high standard, be resilient and have a positive “can do”
attitude.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will undertake the following responsibilities under the direct supervision of
the ICRC Health Delegate in Dohuk:
Define and formulate the action and operational strategy of ICRC Health programs in Iraq by:
Generalist
Participates in setting medical/clinical procedures and/or
Assist the program responsible / Health Delegate in assessing the needs of the health
structure / IDPs and in finding appropriate solutions
Supervises Mentor medical staff working with
Drafts written reports in relation to the medical programs, activities.
Executes administrative and office work related to the projects and the general health
situation.
Maintains contacts with health interlocutors in Dohuk governorate in coordination
with the HD.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
University degree (medical)
4 – 6 years work experience in a similar function
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English, Kurdish and Arabic
Very good computer skills, incl. spreadsheets
Good rigor, method and analytical skills
Management skills
International Committee of the Red Cross
