Material and Logistics Supervisor

Job description

  • Physical Receipt of Materials & Equipment as per MMP procedures
  • Inspections of Received Materials as per MMP procedures
  • Preparing and issuing field receiving reports.
  • Controlling the material to meet the planned construction schedule.
  • Provide purchasing, Expediting, Logistics and Warehousing), Inventory ( Actual – materials/equipment physically on hand, available for construction/production; Projected – material and equipment either on requisition , P.O, or in process of shipping to its destination.)
  • Filing / Recording receiving documentation as per MMP procedures
  • Issuing Materials as per MMP procedures
  • Filing / Recording field materials request as per MMP procedures
  • Filing / Recording field materials return as per MMP procedures
  • Moving Materials as per MMP procedures
  • Utilize Materials Management software to proceed data entry – generate Good Received Notes, Good Transfer Notes, Good Dispatch Notes, update inventory on a daily basis. (Skolms – Maximo)
  • Utilize Oracle Procurement to check status of requisitions, download attachments such as Packing list, emails correspondences, investigate if required.
  • Responsible to liaise with Supply Chain on purchase order and delivery status to Block.
  • Responsible for updating designated files into the Y drive on a daily basis, create physical folder to file MMP documentation (update including MSR, OS&D Report)
  • Communicate with vendors regarding Journey Management Requirements
  • (provide access request and route documents as required)
  •  Communicate using Microsoft Outlook / email account, be professional and follow system / I.T rules at all time.
  • Following Safety Requirements at all time, prioritize & encourage Safety
  • Culture.
  • Responsible to prepare and conduct on a daily basis toolbox talk meetings, TRA (Task Risk Analysis) documents. Making  sure to filing such documents on a daily basis.
  • Responsible to report to line manager any HESS incidents (Health, Environment, Safety & Security)
  • Following Safety Requirements at all time, prioritize & encourage Safety
  • Culture.
  • Reporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Manager
  •  All responsibilities will be delegated to the Materials & Logistics Supervisor during the absence of the Materials & Logistics Manager
  • Organizing freight movement – logistics coordination the best economical way.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Good Knowledge of Production – Construction – Project – Mechanical – Electrical material
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook – (Materials Management Software) such as SAP – SKOLMS –Maximo
  • Intermediate knowledge of warehouse operations management including inventory management, receiving, freight logistics processes, procedures and practices.
  • Team player, reliable, punctual
  • Advanced knowledge of the English, Arabic, Kurdish languages (Reading – Writing – Speaking)
  • Ability to adapt working in a remote area (schedule to be 2 weeks on – two weeks off)
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role is required
  • High School Graduate (hold an Associate or Bachelor degree preferred but not mandatory)
