Job description
- Outreach and liaison with other organizations
- With guidance from the GBV Specialist and other members of IMC staff, identify services available to survivors of GBV in IMC’s areas of operations
- Liaise with government authorities, women’s organizations, livelihood service providers, PHC doctors and psychosocial workers to facilitate referrals
- Support to GBV programming
- Translate forms into English, Kurdish and Arabic as necessary
- Keep rigorous, accurate and up-to-date records of beneficiaries served and referrals
- Assist the GBV Specialist in compiling reports about activities
- Act as a liaison between the GBV Specialist and the PSWs and outreach workers
- Provide on the job mentoring and supervision for PSWs and outreach workers
- Ensure PSWs fill case files appropriately and provide technical input in challenging cases
- Program Activities
- Compile data from field sites on daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as required by IMC and donors
- Regularly report back to relevant program staff on the status of the indicators, ensuring that program activities are modified in order to reach intended targets
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management staff as required
- Contribute to both internal IMC reports and external reports as required
- Representation & Coordination
- Attend relevant meetings, representing IMC to coordinate ongoing and potential activities with other actors in the field, including INGO, UN agencies, and national organizations
- Provide feedback to supervisor and relevant staff on outcomes of meetings
- Liaise with actors and coordinate with authorities as needed
- Other duties
- Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibility as and when needed
- Represent IMC at relevant meetings, including coordination meetings and working group meetings held on a regular basis
- Travel frequently to Rabea and other project locations to oversee IMC’s GBV work
