Job Purpose
The field monitor implements and monitor activities on the field level, under coordination of the
Project manager. He/she also will conduct surveys, fill relevant documents, evaluate, assess,
and report on vulnerable conditions. The position requires extensive local travels and thorough
community work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the identification of potential project beneficiaries through the needs
assessment in the targeted area according to the project criteria.
Daily visit to units under rehabilitation to assess quality and quantity of work done.
Conduct surveys using specific format.
Ensure timely distribution of the materials to the beneficiaries.
Be in regular and direct contact with beneficiaries.
Ensure monitoring of the quality of all works implemented within the scope of the project.
Contributes to work related reports.
Report immediately on achievements or challenges faced to the direct team-leader
Participate in the implementation of the project impact survey.
Participate in identification and referrals (Project Manager) of special hardship cases during
the life cycle of the project.
Coordinating with the rest of REACH staff according to REACH’s Policy and procedure.
Accomplish any other tasks assigned by team-leader or project manager.
Person Specification
Language Skills: Fluent in Kurdish and Arabic, Medium level in English (speaking/reading/writing).
Education Degree: College degree or University degree in the related fields is an asset.
Work experience: Proven experience in NGOs is an asset.
Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Portable Devices.
Experience in the social/humanitarian field
Ability to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered on a daily basis.
Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation with a project mission.
Well organized, Hard worker, Reliable and punctual.
