Job description
Identify needs and provide counselling to patients and relatives (if needed) admitted in MSF Hospital and be flexible according to the need. Be available to be trained and supervised by the MHAM (mental health activity manager) and apply the technique as trained.
Main purpose of the job (Counsellor):
- Respect MSF chart and medical ethic
- Fulfil client forms
- Respect of work schedule and be flexible in case of need
- In case of sick leave, inform the supervisor
- Make sure a good collaboration e communication within the personnel
- Be available to receive by the supervisor, evaluations on motivation, skills and collaboration
- Participate to constantly improve the program, open and favourable to integration
- Hel in organising supplementary activities
- Participate to supervision session
Overall purpose of the Psychologist:
Provide psychotherapy, PFA and counselling according to needs, in individual and group sessions to patients and relatives (when needed) admitted in the hospital. Be available to be trained and supervised by MHAM (mental health activity manager). Identify, diagnose, define a therapeutic plan and treat beneficiaries. Support the MHAM in the organizational activities, training and supervisions to staff.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education background or experience in social, pedagogic psychological or medical field
- Previous experience with NGOs – preferable
- Must be fluent in Arabic and English – essential
- Team work spirit
- Diplomacy, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of ethic and integrity.
Specific requirements for the role (Psychologist):
- Degree in (clinical) psychology or specialization in psychiatry or related field essential
- Experience in clinical psychology of at least 2 years
- Must be fluent in Arabic and English – essential
- Team work spirit
- Diplomacy, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of ethic and integrity
