Job description
The overall goal of the proposed project is to strengthen the prospects of youth in refugee and host communities for social and economic inclusion in Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey.
The radio web developer will contribute to the activity 008 – Media incubator in order to create and manage a web portal for the 2 radio stations created by the project.
Description Seeking to recruit a web developer with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in developing web-site and web-radio to be in charge of producing the radio web-portal for the 2 radios of FURSA project.
Under the coordination of the project manager of UPP, he/she will be responsible to create a web site for the radios with the following specifications:
Audio web-site + 1 year of maintenance subscription
- Multi-languages website (Arabic, Kurdish and English)
- Broad cast programming and streaming platform
- Audio Player system
- Podcasts system
- Multi user system
The maintenance subscription must include:
- Name of server (management and renovation)
- Web-hosting service (management and renovation)
- Emails
- Bimonthly backup of the website on another server
- Plugin and website updates
- Virus protection software
- SSL certificate (https:// access)
- Minor modifications of the website (text, images, graphic element)
Web hosting service specifications:
- Web hosting server and radio automation
- 50 GB of hard disk
- 1.500 simultaneous listeners
- Broadcast quality between 24 to 320 kbps
- Live broadcast from a computer and smartphone
- Broadcast delay based on a programming schedule
- Streaming of other web radios (Icecast or/and Shoutcast system)
- Permanent technical service for the users
- 12 H of service restoration time (SRT)
SMARTPHONE APPLICATION specifications:
- Subscription application smartphone per 12 months
- Compatible with iOS (App Store) & Androïd (Play Store)
- Website Podcasts
- Live streaming
- Website articles
- Notification (max 50 000 per month)
- Unlimited traffic and down loading
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
An experienced web designer/ developer with at least 3 years of experience, who can work in a tight time frame. The developer has a track record of developing websites on time and as planned, user friendly and easy to maintain.
