Job description
The Assistant Field Coordinator supports the Field Coordinator on the administrative part of coordination tasks, ensuring the relation with the local and national authorities, other agencies and NGOs through:
- Assisting the Field Coordinator in updating and analysing the humanitarian context in West-Mosul Nablus and also East-Mosul, Ninewa, Iraq
- Security follow up and work with SMT: monitor and report regularly on key issues to the Field Coordinator and assist him/her in the analysis of information
- Assisting the Field Coordinator on external and internal communications and meetings
- Facilitating contacts with local authorities
- File the field contacts (NGOs, authorities…) and verify contacts are up to date and accessible on a regular basis.
- Has a good knowledge of counterparts in different administrations in order to facilitate contacts and meetings with local authorities
- Update general information on the context for MSF internal documents
- Ensure regular communication with local authorities
- Assist the Field Coordinator in information sessions about MSF for national staff, the Ministry of Health, as well as with local authorities.
- Networking with influent local leaders where MSF runs projects
- Assist the Field Coordinator in the follow up of activities, ensure and coordinate the monthly reporting in collaboration with the other departments.

Specific requirements for the role:
- Fluent spoken and written English, Arabic
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Planning capabilities, strong ability to multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
